In 2020, streaming your own yoga or pottery or disc golf content suddenly became a much more likely income engine. So Vimeo put on a virtual conference to help anybody learn to run a video business. We approached the 9 hours of content like a TV marathon: We booked speakers like Frederick Seibert, MTV’s first creative director; created an eye-catching design system and playful voice; then crafted a lineup that kept our 900+ attendees pinging in our event Slack. Overall, our three iterations of Streameo brought in a few million worth of new deals plus 7,000+ new leads.
